In Memoriam
A graduate of Stanford University, Jane Reed Cohen became a lifetime high school teacher and earned her Ph.D. in English from UC Davis. She had a life-long love of literature and writing, which she passed on to three decades of high school students. Her memorial service was standing room only and speaker after speaker talked about her poetry. Thanks to her husband, Herb Cohen, Syndic is pleased to publish one of her favorites: “Giraffes: Detail of Rock Painting by Bushmen, Southern Rhodesia.”
