Publisher’s Note

Don Edwards passed away on August 15, 2011 in Ajijic Mexico.  A friend and colleague of mine since 1950, Don was a prolific story writer and a champion of the Syndic Literary Journal. I have no words profound enough to describe my feelings of loss at his passing, but in his absence I compiled and published the Don Edwards Literary Memorial (www.donedwards memorial.us) to at least preserve his writing for others to enjoy. In this process, I found his poetry – written decades ago – I had never seen before. I especially liked these two.  — LeRoy Chatfield
